Voting Equipment
The State of New Mexico changed to a paper ballot voting system in the fall of 2006. Previously the state used three different voting systems, now all 33 counties are using the same ballots and voting machines. The voting machine used is the ES&S M100. The machine is a paper ballot tabulator; voters vote on paper ballots and insert their voted ballots into the voting machine. At the end of the day the poll workers collect the ballots and print a results tape from the voting machine.
More information on the M100 may be found here:
An additional piece of equipment, the AutoMARK, provides audio voting assistance to voters with disabilities.
