Mission Statement
The San Juan County Clerk's office is the guardian of public records and strives for exactitude in its operational management. We endeavor to conduct fair, honest, transparent and accurate elections. We believe it is imperative to treat each citizen in a professional and courteous manner and must always remember that we serve the citizens and they pay our salary.
Vision Statement
To empower employees to have the tools, knowledge and confidence to implement and expand the department's mission statement.
***Attention***
All division of land plats and boundary line adjustments need to be approved by the San Juan County Subdivision Review Officer before they can be recorded. This applies to not only the unincorporated area of San Juan County, but also to areas within the planning and platting jurisdiction of the local municipalities.

Documents recorded in the office of the County Clerk are Public Records, subject to inspection and disclosure.

Monday through Thursday 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The San Juan County Clerk's office is an elected office of San Juan County in the State of New Mexico. We have 9 full time employees in three divisions, Recording, Elections, and Voting Machines.
