Thursday, October 1st, 2009	Candidates may obtain and commence circulation of Nominating Petitions.
Monday, January 25th, 2010	Governor Issues Primary Election Proclamation and Last day candidate may change party affiliation.
Tuesday, February 9th	Filing day for Statewide and Federal Offices. (at the Secretary of State's Office)
Tuesday March 9th	Write-in filing day.
Tuesday, March 16th	Filing day for all other offices. Please refer to page 20 of the candidate guide for the proper filing office.
Tuesday, April 6th	Last day for candidates to withdraw their candidacy.
Tuesday, May 4th	Absentee voting begins.
Tuesday May 4th	Last day to register to vote. (Books Close)
Saturday, May 15th	Early voting begins at the 5 Early Voting sites.
Saturday May 29th	Early voting ends.
Tuesday, June 1st	Primary Election Day.
Monday, June 7th	Voter Registration re-opens.
